Dora and the Lost City of Gold Party

It's true, for years televisions have played hours of Dora, Boots and Swiper for delighted preschoolers everywhere. I know that my kids still love to watch Dora and her pals solve challenges on their adventures. I even remember the first time I saw an episode of Dora. I was at my friend's house, hanging out with her and her cute little girl, Lydia. Dora came on the TV and we all had a great time helping Dora solve the obstacles in her way.

But, Lydia is all grown up now (at least she thinks so!) and so is Dora! So, if you think you know Dora…think again! The adventure begins when Dora and the Lost City of Gold hits theatres August 9! Read on to see more about the "grown-up" birthday party I recently styled for Lydia, as she celebrated her birthday and the fun new movie about to hit theatrers! Lydia and her best friends just LOVED this gold-hued, jungle-inspired Dora and the Lost City of Gold party!

This isn't your baby girls Dora! This new movie is for everyone to enjoy! From kids to grandmas and everyone in between! You see, having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora (Isabela Moner) for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a ragtag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.
